I’m having such a ball playing around with my new Cricut Machine that I thought I would test my new-found skills on a second project this afternoon.
I’m always so indecisive when it comes to my cell phone case. I try and change it up on an almost weekly basis, (which makes finding it a challenge at times.)
And friends, as a result, I have just discovered the easiest DIY project yet with minimal time, skill and materials needed. Sweeeeet!
Tools to make the magic happen:
Hop on into Cricut Design Space. Set your canvas type to “Smart Phone” and select your phone style.
Click on over to “Insert Image” and do a quick search for “Phone Case” and insert the plain (non decorative) style onto your canvas.
I measured the inside of my case and set the image dimensions to fit, and DONE! There’s your perfectly fit background just waiting to be cut and inserted.
Pineapples are all the rage right now so I thought I would try jazz up the outside of this case with a few of those sweet little goodies.
Again, a quick image search in the expansive Cricut image library brought up all sorts of cute styles.
I selected this uber cute fruit courtesy of Kim, of TomKat Studio.
I just eyeballed the size and placement on the canvas. This is where you get to be creative to run with a pattern, number of fruit, size, and placement of your choosing. You can’t go wrong!
Click “GO” to head to the cut page and your new treasures will be there waiting for you neatly lined up.
Dear hubby gifted some gold contact paper over the holidays. This was the perfect opportunity to check out the Cricut’s cut features. Do you see the detailed intricate cuts?! Awesome, awesome stuff!
I referenced my design layout on Design Space when peeling and sticking the pineapples onto the case.
Wham, bam, done! Such a fun and easy project!
